The experiences & training I bring when working with families.

Kids

For 2 decades, I have helped children from 1 to 18 years of age increase independence, confidence, and overcome or adapt to obstacles in skill development. Interventions provided in the child's school, home, & online. Evaluations and treatments integrate various approaches to achieve the goals set by the parent and child. Modalities and techniques used depending on the needs of the child include:

• Occupational Therapy
• Ayers Sensory Integration
• Therapeutic Exercises
• Play-based interventions
• Brain Gym®
• Rhythmic Movement Training
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Mindfulness-based practices
• HeartMath® Techniques
• Life skills training
• Self-regulation training
• Therapeutic Listening®

Parents

Supporting parents through mentoring programs, online workshops, and courses. The primary intention of parent-based interventions is to equip parents with the knowledge and tools to mindfully handle their child's ever-changing emotional, physical, and mental health needs. The second reason for parent interventions is to decrease stress and increase resiliency during challenging moments (other potential outcomes may occur). The benefits of parent-based interventions are experienced by both the parent and child. Practices and techniques incorporated into parent-based interventions include;

• Mindfulness
• HeartMath® Techniques
• Self-regulation training
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Parent mentoring (Sensory Integration & Behavior)
• Stress & Well-being Assessment
